The TALENT EXCELLENCE TRAINING PROGRAMME, is a 30 week progressive training programme that aims to provide a systematic and comprehensive approach to professional dance learning and training targeted towards aspiring youth. Talented youth with potential to contribute to the arts are offered scholarships to immerse in 3 streams of training paths:
1. Artistic Development
2. Arts & Production Management
3. Choreographic Mentorship Programme
Special workshop or lectures designed for a specific target group of participants.
Artist-Mentorship Programme (For teachers), an initiative jointly helmed by MOE-STAR and NAC.
A series of intensive programmes that aim to provide dance students with a better understanding of dance, with special focus on Ballet, Body Conditioning, Contemporary Dance, Choreographic devices, Seminars, Performance, and Creative workshops based on the philosophies of various prominent choreographers. Reinforcing the integral nature of dance and movements in both school and life, these progressive dance modules aims to facilitate accelerated learning by the participants. With main facilitation by our Artistic Director – Dr. Danny Tan, these dance modules will also be conducted by practicing dance educators and invited artistes from Odyssey Dance Theatre Ltd.
Dance EduTrain
A modular programme that allows children of ages 4 – 13 to be educated and exposed to creative dance, movements, dance exercises/activities and basic skills in dance presentation. Each module will be a 30-week programme across 4 terms (approximately 10 hours per term). Parents are strongly advised to enrol their children on a continual-term basis to enable a progressive and effectively learning. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to children who have successfully completed each module.
Module DET1 – DANCE TOTS (4 – 6 years old)
Creative dance programme for pre-schoolers and pre-primary children
Children will be introduced to creative movements and to discover the ways in which the body may express itself, alignment and the development of basic creative dance skills
Module DET2 – DANCE KIDS (7 – 10 years old)
Advancement module for children who have underwent Dance Tots module
Key focus includes locomotors, non-locomotors and activities that promote teambuilding, body coordination and self-expression.
Module DET3 – DANCE TEENS (11 – 13 years old)
Final module of DancEduTRAIN, children will be taught critical thinking skills through the creative processes of dance and movement, while developing self-motivation and self-esteem through participation in the various activities.

Conducted as part of the school’s curriculum, it caters elective programmes for school students as part of their aesthetic and dance learning. A customised programme for schools that would like to introduce dance and movement to pupils as a niche programme. Alongside with their academic curriculum in school, pupils will be exposed to creative learning via dance and movements that will enable them to relate to their academic studies more effectively.
Co-Curricular Activity
A 30 week programme (minimum 150 hours) to prepare dance pupils from appreciation of dance to performing professional dance works with technical proficiency, aligning with MOE 21st Century Competencies and Outcomes.
Dance Elect
Conducted as part of the school’s curriculum, Dance Elect caters elective programme for school students as part of their aesthetic and dance learning.
Module DAE1 – Primary school pupils
A customised programme for primary schools that would like to introduce dance and movement to pupils as a niche programme.
Module DAE2 – Secondary school pupils
A 2 - 4 year dance elective programme alongside with their academic curriculum in school, pupils will be exposed to creative learning via dance and movements that will enable them to relate to their academic studies more effectively.
Module DAE3 – Bridging programmes
A customised programme to aid the dance learning of students in their transitional stage to their chosen dance programme in meeting the requirements.
